A slow day in the campground. I used the day to catch up on some business. Also, the kids managed to clog up the RV toilet pretty well.
Traveled up to the Yogi Bear Campground in the Adirondack Mountains.
Leaving the hustle and bustle of New York City, we traveled northbound to stop for the night at Interlake RV Park. And it was a really nice change of pace after being in urban parks so much since the beginning of our trip.
We took a family trip out to Brighton Beach, in New York City. But, it was also a day of dealing with RV mechanical issues. Another problem showed up, but the good news is that by the end of the day, I made headway.
On day 8, we visited the Natural History Museum, next to New York Central Park. The place was PACKED! But also, a new problem reared it’s head with the RV…
We left Washington DC and traveled north to New York City, parking at Liberty Harbor RV Resort. This place is basically a parking lot with hookups.
Sitting at Cherry Hill RV Resort in Washington DC, we decided to play it slow. Well, the family did. I decided to play wannabe RV mechanic and spend some time trying to debug crap that wasn’t going right. 😉
After visiting Washington DC many times, I still had never been out to Dulles to see the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. It is outside of town and it just wasn’t convenient at all. But, this time, we had a vehicle with us. So, away we went. 🙂
On day 4 of our summer 2016 trip, we left the Americamp RV Resort in Virginia and headed north up into Washington DC. Well, that is, after getting stranded in a gas station with a dud starter motor.
RV Travel today is certainly much higher tech than it used to be. Today, most of us carry smartphones which have more computing power than the space shuttle. In this post, I’ve pulled out 14 apps from my own iPhone that I use when I’m out in the motorhome.
Travel day, stopping in the Americamp RV Resort, in Virginia. And get this… the refrigerator worked all day!
